Privacy Policy for CollisionKit

Effective date: July 7, 2026
Last updated: August 17, 2026

Fluxborne ("we," "us," or "our") operates the CollisionKit mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

1. Summary

CollisionKit helps you document motor vehicle incidents. Most information you enter stays on your device or in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate our own user accounts or backend servers for incident data.

If you use the free version of the App, we show ads through Google AdMob, which may collect advertising-related data subject to your consent choices.

If you subscribe to CollisionKit Plus, ads are removed. Subscription billing is handled by Apple; we do not receive your payment card information.

2. Information the App processes

Information you provide

When you document an incident, the App may process owner and driver names and phone numbers; vehicle details (VIN, license plate, year, make, model, color); insurance information; incident location; witness information; photos you capture; and settings profile information and saved vehicles you choose to store.

In Settings, you can optionally fill your email address using the system Contacts picker. The picker runs outside the App: the App does not access your contacts and only receives the single email address you choose, which is then stored with your on-device settings.

Information collected automatically

Information we do not collect

We do not require you to create a Fluxborne account. We do not directly collect payment card numbers or bank account information.

3. How we use information

We use information to let you create, edit, and export incident records; prefill forms from your saved profile and vehicles; sync incident metadata across your Apple devices via iCloud (when iCloud is enabled); scan VIN barcodes and license plates when you use those features; show ads in the free version (subject to consent); validate CollisionKit Plus subscription entitlements through Apple; and improve app reliability through optional Apple system diagnostics.

We do not sell your incident documentation to third parties.

4. Where information is stored

DataStorage
Incident metadataYour device and your iCloud account (via Apple CloudKit)
PhotosOn your device only (not synced to other devices in the current version)
Settings profile and saved carsOn your device only (local app storage)
Subscription recordsApple (App Store)
Ad-related dataGoogle AdMob and its partners

You can delete incidents from within the App. Deleting the App removes locally stored data from that device, subject to iCloud and iOS backup behavior.

5. Third-party services

Apple — We use Apple services including iCloud/CloudKit, StoreKit, and system frameworks. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob (free tier only) — We use Google AdMob to display ads. See Google's Privacy Policy. On supported devices, we request App Tracking Transparency permission before using data for personalized advertising. CollisionKit Plus subscribers do not see ads.

6. Permissions

The App may request access to the Camera (photos and scanning), Photo Library (save and display photos), and Location (While Using the App) (incident location). You can deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings; some features may not work without them.

7. Advertising and tracking (free tier)

For free users, the App may use data for third-party advertising, including data that iOS classifies as used for tracking, after applicable consent is obtained. We declare tracking-related data collection in our App Store privacy label and privacy manifest.

8. Subscriptions

CollisionKit Plus is an auto-renewable subscription billed through your Apple ID. Apple processes payment and provides purchase history. We receive only entitlement information needed to unlock Plus features. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or through the App's subscription management screen.

9. Data retention

We retain incident and settings data on your device (and in iCloud for synced incident metadata) until you delete it or remove the App. We do not maintain a separate Fluxborne-hosted copy of your incident records.

10. Children's privacy

CollisionKit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us at privacy@fluxborne.ai.

11. U.S. state privacy rights

If you are a California or other U.S. state resident, you may have rights to know, access, delete, or opt out of certain processing. Because incident data is stored on your device and iCloud account under your control, the primary way to delete your data is to delete incidents in the App or remove the App from your device. For ad-related opt-outs, use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and the in-app consent controls. Contact privacy@fluxborne.ai with questions.

12. Security

We rely on Apple's platform security and iCloud protections. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing access to your device and Apple ID.

13. International users

CollisionKit is primarily offered to users in the United States. If you use the App from other regions, your information may be processed in the United States and by service providers such as Apple and Google under their respective terms.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice in the App or on our website.
